About Tale Be Told Theatre

Tale Be Told Theatre is an award winning theatre company based in Hounslow. We launched in 2015 and aim to shine a spotlight on the untold stories of people and communities in crisis. Our work is shaped by and for communities and we strive to create experiences that are accessible to all, providing opportunities to engage with the arts to those that are disadvantaged in society. Alongside professional theatre productions, we create bespoke arts projects designed to empower participants and provide them with the means to become socially active and community minded. We produce interactive theatre as a tool to inform, educate and raise social awareness. Abandoning the fourth wall, our work is participatory in nature, creating a collective process of learning and understanding. In addition to this, we also run our Tale Be Told Youth Performance Company. Recognising a need for a low cost, accessible pathway to the arts for young people, Tale Be Told Theatre launched weekly sessions for young people in 2015. In 2022, we have been funded by Hounslow Council’s Thriving Communities Fund to not only rebrand and relaunch our youth theatre programme, but to expand the provision with 3 Performance Company Hubs across the Hounslow borough.
