About Talents Empowerment Foundation

Our goal in this area is to provide the necessary financial and non-financial (exposure, mentorship, empowerment, etc.) resources to school children in deprived communities who may not be able to continue with their education without such resources. We mainly target brilliant but needy children at the basic levels of education, but we also aim to support needy but brilliant students up to the university (first degree) level. We aim to empower and mentor girls to undertake STEM courses right from the basic level of education. According to UNDP, only 14% of students at the university level are women and only about 18 to 19% of these students are enrolled in Engineering. It is our goal then to empower, mentor, and resource girls at the lowest level of education to increase their enrolment in STEMs. The lack of educational, social, and other infrastructures in communities affect negatively impacts the citizens of the communities, including students (even if they have all educational resources at their disposal). It is our goal then to provide basic and yet important resources like potable water, health care, educational infrastructures, etc. to deprived communities. This will have a direct effect and positively impact future leaders in such communities. We acknowledge that the problem we are trying to address is huge and would require concerted efforts from different stakeholders to make significant progress. It is therefore our goal to build strategic partnerships with different institutions (both public and private) and individuals who share in our vision and would love to see it come to a realization.
