About Taler Systems
Taler Systems is the payments system for the future. Founded in 2016 by a strong team of experts and industry veterans, we are working closely with banks and central banks to build the payment system for tomorrow – which will be frictionless, scalable, and low-cost, enabling cash-like digital payments with instant confirmation for all fiat- and cryptocurrencies – all while being highly sustainable, privacy-preserving and safe. Taler Systems started as a project at INRIA to solve the problems of today’s banking and payments systems. It was spun off and continued research with the Swiss National Bank and the Bern University of Applied Sciences towards CBDCs. It has since received worked actively on developing applications with commercial banks, crypto exchanges and Central Banks worldwide.
