About Tallen Healthcare Consulting

Welcome to Tallen Healthcare Consulting. My mission is to improve the revenue of healthcare providers (with a particular focus on short term acute general hospitals) by leveraging my extensive experience in the industry gained while working at Aetna, Blue Shield, and most recently as Director of Health Economics at Anthem Blue Cross of California. I’ve spent the bulk of my career intensely focused on the financial drivers in healthcare; contracts, claims, payment policies, chargemaster, RAF scores, etc. I’m excited to finally apply that experience and passion for this work to the care delivery side of the industry. Traditionally healthcare consultants have charged by the hour for their services. However, during these tumultuous times brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, cash flow has been dramatically impacted. In this environment an organization can’t take a chance that a consultant may or may not improve its bottom line. That is why I will work on a contingency basis for all projects where that may be applicable. If I don’t improve revenue, in a measurable and quantifiable way, there is no cost for my services. I love incentives that align. It creates a true partnership and synergy where both parties are laser focused on improving financial performance.
