About TAN

TAN SA is a family company founded in 1984, but the Romualdi family has been working in the watch field for more than 70 years, since the 1950s. Since the beginning, the family’s core business has been the development and production of watches. Until the ‘80s these activities were flanked by the assembly of manual or automatic mechanical movements and by the production of dials. In 1978, the founders’ son and actual CEO, Enrico, joined the company. After completing his studies in chemistry, he practiced all the stages of movement and watch assembly. In order to refine his knowledge of quartz and mechanical watches, he spent a long time at different ETA factories (the most important SWISS movements producer) thanks to which he had the chance to join a 3-month formation program in New York. Enrico spent few weeks in Japan as well, having the opportunity to improve and broaden his knowledge at Seiko factories. In 1984 the family took the decision to move all the activities to Switzerland, being able to provide customers with Swiss Made watches. Thanks to the experiences gained by Enrico the company services were improved and strengthened, to keep up with the higher quality standard requirements of those times. Nicola, Enrico’s son, decided to join the company in 2015, after completing his studies in Management and spending a working period abroad. In the last years he has been taking care of the business development, together with Enrico, making TAN’s offer and services consistent with the changed market’s requirements.
