Tanaq Environmental is an Alaska Native Corporation, Small Disadvantaged Business, and SBA 8(a) Certified business. As a full-service environmental consulting and remediation firm, Tanaq specializes in the investigation and cleanup of CERCLA and RCRA Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste sites, support and cleanup of sites managed under the Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), and completion of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other Environmental Compliance studies. Tanaq Environmental has successfully closed sites through Performance-Based Contracts and has executed Remedial Investigations (RIs), Feasibility Studies (FS), and Removal Actions to address environmental contamination at active military bases, Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS), and Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) facilities. Additionally, Tanaq Environmental's Emerging Contaminant Team is working to investigate and address per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contamination at military installations nationwide. Tanaq has also designed, installed, and operated multiple PFAS mitigation systems to address contamination in drinking water, groundwater, and surface water.
