About Tatton Perk
Tatton Perk was founded in 2018 by Mark Lee-Kilgariff, following a mid life crisis which saw him change career from civil servant to barista, serving coffee from a gorgeous vintage van, based in Knutsford, Cheshire. Because he's the ultimate perfectionist, people loved the coffee as much as the van and he rapidly built a loyal and vocal following, spending week days serving the workers at Booths Park business park and weekends delivering caffeine to parents at our local playground. In the midst of the first Covid lockdown, we were asked to become part of the One Central family at Altrincham, serving our coffee alongside other street food traders from a collection of revamped shipping containers. Because people don't tend to drink coffee after mid afternoon, we hired a couple of superstar mixologists and added cocktails, beer and fine wines to our repertoire. In early 2022, we grabbed the opportunity to lay down more permanent roots and opened two new coffee shops. One remains in place at Booths Park where the workers coming in to the office still appreciate great coffee, and now, high end breakfast and lunch options to go with it. The other can be found within a good frisbee fling of Moor Park in the centre of Knutsford, keeping those parents, dog walkers, cyclists and shoppers fuelled. The old orange van is now freed up to attend more events. We're booked for weddings, TV & film sets, vintage car rallys, cricket matches and local markets. Mark's ethos has stayed the same throughout this rapid expansion. Meticulous attention to the quality of everything we serve, hiring really great people who are actually better baristas than him, insisting on working with local suppliers and doing everything we can to minimise our impact on the environment.
