About Taubenslag Productions

Taubenslag Productions is a Professional Children's Theater Company dedicated to presenting fun, fantastic, family entertainment and helping kids build confidence and self-esteem thru musical theater and performing arts. We offer children and their families a range of programs from our own Broadway-style professional touring shows to our original, award-winning THEATERWEEK school workshop to our successful Theater Camp entering our 36th year this summer! Our company began its residence at the Jan Hus Theater in New York City in 1964. Today we tour the nation’s colleges and performing arts centers. We have a show repertoire of over 30 original children's shows. Our founder, Elliott Taubenslag, was awarded the Dorothy Mullen Arts and Humanities Award for "Best Children's Program in the United States of America". We took this program and turned it into our original THEATERWEEK workshop now running for over 30 years & produced in hundreds of schools in the Tristate Area. THEATERWEEK is designed to build a child’s self-esteem and confidence and IT WORKS! We also have a very popular and award-winning Summer Theater Camp in Edison, NJ, where we not only teach children about musical theater but also provide a safe atmosphere of fun, excitement and camaraderie. Our camp runs for 8 weeks every summer with the kids performing a different musical production each week. Thanks to our successful programming and outstanding staff, the majority of our campers return year after year! Our Theater Camp was also honored by the NJ State Senate, Middlesex County Freeholders and General Assembly for our Artistic expertise and over 25 years of helping kids succeed. Summer 2023 will mark our 34th year of Theater Camp!
