Taylor Lane Timber Frame was started in 1982 by co-founders Colin Taylor and Barrie Lane. Today, the company is owned by major UK home builder, Cala Group and is headed by managing director, Jon Lane. The company is based on Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford, operating across 75,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space, and from a second manufacturing facility in Nantyglo, South Wales – Taylor Lane (Wales) Ltd. Taylor Lane produces over 2,000 timber frame units per year and employs 175 people across four sites in England and Wales. In recent years, Taylor Lane has been awarded and short-listed for numerous industry awards including Timber Frame – Project of the Year at the Structural Timber Awards. Taylor Lane is working towards net zero. This is managed by an internal taskforce. For greater accountability, the company has also joined the Greener Footprints 30 for 2030 campaign, supporting the county of Herefordshire in realising its ambition to be net zero by 2030.
