TBS was established in 2003 and has expanded its services to fill a void in the marketplace for a company capable of providing one-stop shopping or turn-key solutions for all of your commercial or residential real estate, facilities management and construction needs. History In 2000, Jay Gauldin and John Gauldin formed a residential construction company under the name of Gauldin, LLC – a father and son organization. Not long after, Jay moved to the fast-growing Charlottesville area, where he worked for a well-established and highly respected family-owned construction company. It was here that Jay completed his Masters in Architecture at Virginia Tech and worked on some of Charlottesville’s most notable projects. Clients included The University of Virginia, CBS Rentals and Red Light Management. Jay was later recruited by the Piedmont Virginia Companies to become the President of Piedmont Concrete Contractors, Inc. – the area’s most influential commercial concrete company. While Jay was in Charlottesville, John continued to build Gauldin Construction, Inc. He hired some of the best multi-skilled field staff, allowing the company to provide excellent craftsmanship and service. Continuing with Gauldin, LLC’s tradition, John researched and experimented with new building systems that promised better performance for his projects, ranging from small additions to construction of million-dollar homes. In 2010 Jay and his wife, Jessica, combined their skills in the real estate and construction industries to provide a full range of services to help clients maintain one relationship throughout their entire real estate or construction process.
