About TCH Underground
TCH was established in 1980 and has been expanding ever since. Growing regulations and environmental concerns are a challenge to pipeline, communication and utility companies who install and maintain pipelines, cable and conduits. TCH recognizes these challenges and provides the highest degree of support to the customer through our many years of experience in horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and utility construction industry. TCH began the HDD division in 1993, and that time we purchased the second drill rig sold by Vermeer of Houston. Since then, both TCH and Vermeer have grown by leaps and bounds in the HDD marketplace. Today, nearly twenty years later, the HDD industry has become a preferred method of installing pipelines in congested areas where open trenching is too risky and time consuming. TCH has led the Houston and Gulf Coast market in developing the technology and educating owners and engineers on the advantage of HDD.
