In February of this year I was granted a patent for real time in situ torque measurement (below). This patent was sold to Nabors Drilling. Work continues on a fastener with integrated retention and a skidding module for heavy equipment (+1200t). Other patents are in process for previous employers (Nabors, ODS). My engineering management experience, coupled with my PMP and Lead Assesor certifications give me a unique insight on the management of design. The competent execution of the design review process is one of the most important yet is often poorly executed. It provides an early opportunity to review and validate the design intent. TCMI can assist in the review of existing design review processes, the development of new processes and audit their execution. The audit process can be exhaustive an may include, gap analysis between design and requirements, design validation, CAD model interrogation and document management process execution.
