About Teach For America Ignite

TFA Ignite is a national tutoring corps designed to accelerate learning and foster belonging with students. TFA Ignite builds on Teach For America’s over 30 years of experience recruiting and developing leaders to partner with schools across the country to help students overcome the systemic barriers to an excellent education. Leveraging research-based best practices for high-impact tutoring, TFA Ignite brings exceptional leaders into classrooms virtually to immediately add value with students and schools through customized learning. What is TFA Ignite? Ignite leverages research-based best practices for high-impact tutoring to accelerate student learning and foster belonging. - 3-5 hours per week for 10-13 weeks - 2-3 students per Fellow - Elementary reading, middle school math, high school college and career access - Leverages school curriculum - During K-12 school hours - Student groups are consistent to deepen relationships - Ongoing training and development from Teach For America and veteran educators Fall Fellowship: September - December 2025 Spring Fellowship: January - April 2026 Award at the conclusion of the fellowship - $800 to $1,200 in the fall and $1,000 to $1,400 in the spring. Fellows can earn a base award and are eligible to earn a $100 perfect attendance bonus and, upon renewing for 2nd+ semester, an additional $100 renewal bonus (pre-tax). Who are Ignite Fellows? Fellows are exceptional leaders committed to: - Building deep relationships with students - Respecting students’ identities across multiple dimensions - Affirming their capacity to succeed - Recognizing their agency and contributions To be eligible to apply, you must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, TFA alum, or previous Ignite Fellow.
