About Teacher's Relief Fund

About Us In 1996, three social workers founded the Institute of Family Preservation and Development, Inc. (IFPD), a non-profit organization focused or innovative changes in community services. Several groundbreaking programs and unique partnerships were created. Each with three simple rules of Transparency, “Project over Administrative cost,” “Project Impact” and “Sustainability.” The Teacher’s Relief Fund is one of those creations whose time has come, providing educators, both public and private sector with low interest loans or one-time financial assistance to assist with an unforeseen hardship. Our eligibility guidelines are based on a person’s need and their ability to sustain their life after receiving assistance. Many hardworking teachers in crisis discover their income makes them ineligible for government assistance. Our Philosophy We believe teaching is an honorable occupation that should be held in the highest regard. We generate funds to support both public and private sector educators who are suffering through an unexpected financial hardship. We are committed to educators; as they are committed to shaping young minds. All of our futures hinge with their success. As stewards of private and public funds. Our Vision The Teacher’s Relief Fund envisions a country where we truly value our educators. Our Mission The Teacher’s Relief Fund improves educators’ lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the country to advance the common good.
