Our mission is to relieve the financial burden from teachers as they create a positive learning environment for students. Every classroom is unique. We believe in empowering teachers to direct resources towards their specific needs. Teachers Need Us was founded by a teacher who knows first hand how much goes into creating an engaging classroom. Spoiler alert: It's a lot! A teacher's first few years are often the most financially demanding times in their classrooms. Between decorations, storage, furniture, supplies, classroom libraries, and all the other little things- it adds up. Teachers purchase most of these items out of pocket with little to no reimbursement. Your donations go toward easing the financial burden that many teachers feel, so they can do what they do best! Direct Teacher Grant Program: Teachers Need Us believes in empowering Teachers across the country to direct resources to their specific needs. Our Direct Teacher Grant Program does just that! Teachers complete an application directly on our website. Teachers are randomly selected to receive a $500 grant. After a verification process, grantees are given the choice of an approved teacher store gift card or an approved Amazon Wish List of equal value. These options give our grantees the flexibility to choose the resources that will be most impactful to their classroom and students!
