“Team “I Will” wasn’t something planned. It simply began to take on a life of its own. Today it is one of Toronto’s fastest growing charities.” - Robert MacDonald, Founder What is Team “I Will”? We are a powerful community of under 40’s building a connected, influential, network of Toronto’s best. We mix our desire to overcome obstacles and accomplish our goals with fitness and blend in the most important ingredient...fun. Our recipe for success is all encompassing and helps us achieve our final goal of raising important awareness, and funds for Toronto Rehab Foundation. Our Story Team “I Will” all started because of a terrible accident. Founder, Robert MacDonald, was given a 5% chance of ever walking again. Two words, and the support of Toronto Rehab Foundation, helped MacDonald overcome these odds. 3 years later he set out to complete a marathon and give back. Soon a dynamic community had rallied around his mantra and 100’s would challenge themselves to do the same, joining MacDonald in crossing the finish line at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon in 2015. This is where team “I Will” began. Fast forward to 2019 and we are well on our way to accomplishing our fundraising goal of $500,000 in 5 years – but - we need your help to make that happen. Team “I Will”’s sole beneficiary is Toronto Rehab Foundation. All proceeds from our events go towards helping develop solutions for people living with the consequences of illness and injury.
