About Tearfund Australia

Working in partnership to end poverty. Tearfund Australia is a Christian development, relief and advocacy organisation responding to global poverty and injustice. Inspired by Jesus' call to love our neighbours, we work in partnership with Christians organisations around the world and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations in Australia. We believe that everyone should have a chance to reach their God-given potential. By addressing the causes of poverty, we work through our partners to restore hope and release more of God's love in practical ways. We are probably best known for our Useful Gifts Catalogue, with a range of gifts including chickens, education and safe water that are especially popular at Christmas.
