TEATRO DEL SÓTANO is an artistic collective that aims to create a space for theatrical and poetic exploration in dialogue with the social environment. *Objectives* ·Create artistic content through research and collective creation that reflects our concern about the state of the world, and generates a dialogue with the community that sheds light on its immense complexity. ·Generate theater pieces and performances to be shared within the community, addressing various current topics of interest and importance such as immigration, identity, gender violence, integration of diverse cultures, terrorism, language barriers, etc. ·Maintain a space for artistic training where members of Teatro del Sótano can develop their individual skills. ·Generate non-formal education spaces through performing arts. *How will we do it?* Through workshops and collective creation sessions, we trace a path of poetic and philosophical research around a specific theme. *Modalities of Work* ·Collective Creation / Devised Productions ·Transmedia Theater ·Artistic Residencies ·Workshops for Youth and different groups. *Why do we do it?* ·We believe that theater is a rich medium with tools and conditions for exploring cultural, social, and political ideas. It not only provides a space for training and artistic exploration for participants but also, through a variety of techniques, can generate a dramaturgy that integrates the contributions of the collective. ·Collective creation enriches theatrical discourse through continuous exchange among creators and the audience, whose presence nourishes the scenic proposal and community dialogue.
