In today’s fast-paced world, driven by rapid technological advancement, the refresh cycle for hardware in many organizations has become shorter than ever. Typically, laptops are replaced with state-of-the-art devices every 3–4 years. However, reselling old devices to retailers or employees is often hindered by operational and tax-related complexities (such as the management of taxable benefits). As a result, thousands of perfectly functional devices end up sitting in storage indefinitely. In stark contrast, donating this hardware is a simple and efficient process – and one that can make a huge difference. The use cases for these donated devices are as diverse as the social organizations receiving them: 💻 Refugee centers where job applications are written 📚 Community centers supporting digital schooling 🎵 Youth clubs where kids create music 👩💻 Hacker Schools teaching coding skills to young people At Tech4Kids, we actively support the full process: from sourcing and preparing the hardware, to delivery and installation on site – exactly where it’s needed most.
