Since 1986 Techline Twin Cities™ has been the Midwest’s leading specialist in creating custom laminate, fitted-furniture solutions. Techline Twin Cities is now a part of the Minnesota Office Furniture™ Family; Spaces Designed for Work + Life. It is positioned as their in-house, locally manufactured, line of casework. You can purchase Techline at the Minnesota Office Furniture showroom in Brooklyn Park. History Worth Reading: Techline has been the choice of Architects, Interior Designers, and Space Planners since the 1960’s. Originally founded by Marshall Erdman, a WI Madison architect and colleague of Frank Lloyd Wright, Techline became a highly regarded local manufacturer of medical & modular casework, contract & office furniture, office systems, and commercial cabinets. At the core of our system is modularity. Erdman was also a pioneer in the housing and woodworking industries. Techline development of RTA (Ready To Assemble) cabinetry sold through 350 different retail stores nationwide like Sears & Roebuck and Room & Board. Both of which are also Minnesota based companies. Techline’s Atelier product line, was named “Best of Market “at the 1997 International Home Furnishing Market in High Point, and a nominee in the “Best of NeoCon” competition during the 1997 NeoCon office furnishings exhibition. How We Bring it Back Home: In 1979 the first Techline Design Studio opened in Chicago. Techline Twin Cities Studio opened in 1986, and by 1990 there was a total of 46 studios. As of 2023, there are 8 studios still open, and our Minnesota location is one of the rare few that is manufacturing the line in-house in Brooklyn Park, MN. To Minnesota Office Furniture, the addition of the product line that has such rich history of brand quality (and now manufactured locally) just made sense. We can produce anything we can design unlike most furniture dealers who having the guidelines and restraints of mass manufacturers who they solely depend on.
