Techniker Consulting Engineers (TCHNKR) is a UK based company and was formed to amalgamate the structural engineering expertise of David Connolly (CEng, FIStructE, FICE, MHKIE) and Matthew Wells (RIBA, CEng, FIStructE, FICE). David & Matthew both share the same passion for structural engineering design, applying their knowledge to facilitate projects from concept through to successful completion. Having consulted with a number of clients and stakeholders in the construction industry it is clear that there is a lack of good medium sized practices with the experience and knowledge to deliver high-quality structural engineering services. TCHNKR has been formed to address these issues in providing a service that is able to respond quickly to the ever-changing demands of the building industry and ensuring client satisfaction . We understand the importance of providing a dedicated and consistent professional design team and this forms the basis of our approach to project delivery. Not only do we apply our extensive engineering expertise to projects, we also maintain a keen commercial awareness when designing and reviewing an existing design. David & Matthew have worked on several projects together since 2001 when they worked between the UK and Hong Kong, designing projects in the UK and then managing each project through the approvals and construction stages in Hong Kong. They recognise their ability to work well together and enjoy working creatively to further develop and enhance the design process.
