Out of school clubs and camps for kids aged 9-14 into technology and computing. We want to help children understand that behind every program and app, are the building blocks of code that make it work and it can be FUN! Some schools are now covering the basics of programming and coding as part of the curriculum, but it may only be an hour or so a week. Our clubs are a way of your child spending a quality amount of time to find out what coding is about, creating a sense of achievement and showing them how enjoyable it is to make your own creation work. Programming will also teach them life skills such as problem solving and logic. Over the last 10 years or so, fewer and fewer school leavers are going into the IT sector with the relevant skills or experience. They know how to use technology, perhaps even create a website, but they lack the fundamental 'grass roots' level of programming that today's techno savvy world requires. There are lots of tools and software around today that discourages the need to be able to code and this has caused a problem. The need for coding and programmers hasn't gone away, in fact it has greatly increased.Unfortunately, it seems that programming has lost it's shine and not enough school leavers carry on their education to include programming. This has led to an increasing skills gap in one of the most lucrative professions today. Now is the time to get kids interested in coding - today's Techno Ninjas could be tomorrows TOP DEVELOPERS!
