Tecnimed was founded in 1976. After a first phase, when the core business was the execution of working for the account of third parties, for leading firms in the electric and electronic sector, Tecnimed has reinforced its identity, emphasising the orientation towards innovation in its own company strategy: Tecnimed is the company that, in the year 2000, invented forehead body temperature measurement and remote measurement with Thermofocus, developing and patenting a technology hitherto unheard of in the clinical field. Since then, the company’s R&D department welcomes, as a challenge, the design and production of truly innovative products. This strategy led Tecnimed to the realisation of a number of projects that gained their relating filed patents in Italy and which have been extended at an international level. Currently, the Company is specialised in designing and manufacturing electronic and electromedical equipment, especially healthcare devices. Tecnimed's products are all strictly made in Italy and mainly manufactured within its own factory. The company has a Quality System that complies with EN ISO 9001:2015 and EN ISO 13485:2016 and GMP requirements. The Quality System, the constant and strict control of all production stages and the 100% multiple testing of all devices guarantee the high quality of the product. The medical devices manufactured by Tecnimed are all certified according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) and most of them are also authorised for marketing outside Europe, e.g. in the USA by FDA and in several other countries (Japan, Korea, China, Australia and others) by the relevant local bodies.
