MEP projects have always been characteristically random. The disparate systems all of differing complexity, must neatly coalesce at the right point in time. Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Refrigeration, AV, IT, etc, each have their own set of challenges in delivery. Over time, buildings have become more complex, digitized, and integrated. More reliant on bespoke, value engineered solutions as opposed to the routine solutions of old. The rate of change in technology has far outpaced the MEP industry’s ability to keep up, and there now exists a far greater need to make buildings more efficient and perform better overall. We find a pattern of recurrent failure. Poor standards of commissioning, swathes of snags unchecked at the point of handover, running over programme, over budget, and general loss of confidence throughout the contractual chain. This is why Tecta Analytics was formed. Our vision of industry disruption bringing clarity, sense and understanding was achieved through extensive research and development culminating in the creation of our commissioning management platform – MEP-4D. The platform is formed of two core components, commissioning toolsets, and a management suite. Leveraging modern technology to revolutionise the world of MEP projects.
