About Tedology

Tedology is an innovative company founded by clinical child psychologist Dr. Louise Mansell, who is deeply passionate about improving children’s emotional well-being. At the heart of Tedology is a unique, research-inspired emotional support teddy bear, designed in collaboration with young people. This bear combines the timeless comfort of a teddy bear with sensory features, technology, and evidence-based psychological strategies to help children explore and express their emotions—a fundamental process for emotional growth and development. Since its inception, Tedology has gained significant traction. The concept was developed with the support of Cockburn Council and the Curtin University Ignition Program, which nurtures innovative ideas. Tedology later received an Innovation Booster Grant from the Western Australian government, further validating the product’s potential. To accelerate growth and broaden its reach, Tedology also secured a place in the prestigious Plus Eight Power Her program, which supports women-led startups in scaling and seeking further investment. Tedology’s mission is to ensure its products reach as many young people as possible, fostering their emotional growth and future well-being. By changing the current trajectory, Tedology aims to create a generation of children who have positive experiences in exploring and expressing their emotions and, as a result, can support others—building a more emotionally well world.
