About TEDxStGeorge

The mission of TEDxStGeorge is to create events and gatherings that are self-sustaining and enrich our audience, speakers, volunteers and partners. In the spirit of TED’s ideas worth spreading, TEDxStGeorge is a unique gathering for the St. George and Southern Utah community. The team seeks to create events that are educational, inspiring, and motivational. The main event will be on April 8, 2022, at the amazing Tuacahn Amphitheater that rests nestled in the red rock canyon. TEDxStGeorge will be a unique event of curated and coached talks, demonstrations, and performances showcasing inspirational work from all areas of our community. The goal is to provide a catalyst to empower attendees to envision and explore a new reality for themselves, their community, and possibly the world. WHAT IS TEDX? In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our events are called TEDxStGeorge, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxStGeorge events, we hope to spark deep discussion and connection. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. This independent TEDx event is operated under license from TED.
