About Teen Challenge Colorado Springs
Teen Challenge Colorado Springs is a Christian Academy being established to minister, disciple and educate boys ages 12 - 17. The program is specifically designed for boys with behavioral issues. Originally, Teen Challenge was establish as a Christian based rehab ministry for men & women ages 18 and older. This program was later designed to intervene with troubled teen boys & girls with behavioral issues not necessarily drug or alcohol related. Teen Challenge was founded by the late David Wilkerson in 1958. He authored many books including "The Cross & The Switchblade". Former gang leader, Nicky Cruz, was brought to Christ through Wilkerson's ministry in New York. Nicky is a Teen Challenge Alum and worldwide evangelist.
