About Tel Aviv Museum's American Friends
Tel Aviv Museum of Art American Friends (TAMAF) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 2014, that raises funds and awareness in the United States for the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. TAMAF members are passionate about promoting the Museum as an epicenter for both Israeli and international contemporary visual culture and are committed to expanding the American Friends community throughout the United States. Through a dynamic events program, TAMAF members participate in private collection visits, artist studio and gallery tours and international art fairs that celebrate contemporary Israeli art and highlight parallels between exhibitions and programming in Tel Aviv and the United States. Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Israel’s foremost modern and contemporary art museum, welcomes close to 650,000 visitors annually. Established in 1932 by Tel Aviv’s first mayor, the Museum mounts over thirty exhibitions annually and is recognized for its renowned collection and world-class exhibitions featuring international and Israeli artists.
