Telemar was started in 1947, as a Company licensed by the Italian PTT Ministry to manage radio communications on board Italian ships. From that date Telemar was owned by major Italian ship owners. In 2005 d’Amico di Navigazione acquired the majority of the Group . In 2016 Telemar was acquired by Marlink, creating the world’s leading maritime communications, digital solutions and service company. Telemar has a well-established and close relationship with the Navigation companies and has developed a unique knowledge of the specific needs of the maritime industry. Telemar has developed a complete range of services and solutions with a high level of diversification and personalization to tailor its products to need in terms of: Sales, installation and maintenance of ship-borne systems, communications, satellite navigation equipment.
