Tempest Group, Inc. was founded in 2013 with the goal to work with wind farm owners, and wind turbine manufacturers to ensure the elevators used in towers are serviced, and maintained to the highest standards according to the local AHJ requirements, with current ASME code taken into consideration. Tempest's Lead Mechanic, Dave Smith is also a QEI (Qualified Elevator Inspector) , who has been working with this kind of equipment for 30 + years. Dave can also perform 3rd Party inspections if the state, and local AHJ allows third party inspections. Our service includes but is not limited to: -Can work on ANY manufacturer of wind turbine elevator -Annual service, and maintenance -Install new wind turbine elevators -All mechanics are Tractel Certified, and can service,maintain, and inspect Tractel equipment -Tempest Group, Inc. is a Tractel Authorized Repair Center -Can remove, rebuild, and replace Tractel BlocStops -Existing Project Compliance Assessment with multiple retrofit options if required (Yes you always have options) -3rd Party State Inspections/Certification -Retrofitting Solutions -AHJ Negotiation -Variance and Permitting Process Tempest Group is also Tractel Certified, Zarges Certified, Dual Lift Certified, and ENSA Certified. Tempest can work, and inspect ALL manufacturers, and models wind turbine elevators. Tempest has been out in the field working on this equipment since 2013. Since 2013 Tempest Group's owner, Cynthia Cuenin, and Lead Mechanic, Dave Smith also sit on the ASME A17.8 (wind turbine elevator) committee, and help to create important safety standards in the wind turbine elevator field. They sat on the committee before the code was even published at the end of 2013.
