About Temple Road Journey
Temple Road Journey is dedicated to the belief that caring for a partner at the end of life can be life-giving and sacred, rather than task-oriented and exhausting. However, most people quickly find that current models of care partnering are not set up to meet the physical, spiritual, or emotional needs of either care partner. Utilizing practices and philosophy from the Yogic and Christian traditions, as well as the tenets of Yoga Therapy, we provide services, education, and consultation to those who are caring for a loved one at the end of life.. We offer private and group yoga therapy sessions, online yoga therapy courses, retreats, and private consultation. WHAT IS YOGA THERAPY? Yoga therapy uses the tools of Yoga to create a Yoga practice tailored to address specific issues. The goals of yoga therapy include eliminating, reducing, or managing symptoms that cause suffering; improving function; helping to prevent the occurrence or recurrence of underlying causes of illness; and moving toward improved health and wellbeing. WHAT CONDITIONS CAN YOGA THERAPY TREAT? Over the years, I have seen Yoga used to help many people with many issues. Yoga – and yoga therapy in particular – can be very effective in the relief of a wide range of issues: Healthy Aging Death and Dying Pain Neurologic issues (Dementia, Alzheimer’s, etc) Mental Health Major Illness
