About Templeogue Basketball Club

THE EARLY YEARS Templeogue Basketball Club was formed in 1976 by a group of Past Pupils from Templeogue College. At that time little did they know that 40 years later the club would have grown into the Club it is today. In the first 20 years TBC was a relatively small club, with a couple of teams playing in Dublin Senior Leagues and the odd underage team coming along and injecting a few young players into the club. During this period these teams did enjoy some considerable success in winning Dublin League and Cup titles and our U19 team narrowly lost out to Neptune in The National Cup Final in 1985. But by and large it was a relatively small tight knit group of players.
