About Tend VR
Tend is a mental health tech startup aiming to improve access to the best treatments for depression and anxiety. We create scalable, digital products with the aim of deploying them at population scale. Tend is a collaboration between Britain’s oldest mental health provider, multi award-winning creative technologists and University College London. Our first VR product is a digitalisation of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) one of the most clinically proven treatments for depression available. Three feasibility studies, carried out with University College London (UCL), provided strong evidence that Tend VR-MBCT is a safe and clinically reliable way to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
