Tended leverages geospatial technology and behavioural science to transform the safety and efficiency of rail projects. Organisations can map out safe work zones within an online Dashboard and attach devices to assets including on-track plant (OTP), on-track machinery (OTM) and protection equipment. This provides enhanced worksite visibility by displaying their live location, improving site safety and reducing the risk of incidents, such as points run throughs, collisions and objects left on the line. Wearable devices can also be assigned to workers, which alerts them immediately if they leave safe working limits to help them regain situational awareness. Multiple Network Rail routes and principal contractors are now using Tended to improve worksite operations, including Siemens, SPL Powerlines, Story Contracting and Irish Rail. Tended’s geofencing technology has been named by TIME as a Best Invention and has won multiple awards including the Rail Business Awards, Railway Innovation Awards and Digital Leaders 100 for Geospatial Initiative of the Year.
