Full time students attend classes four days a week. Please check our Class Schedule for days and times or give us a call at (901) 843-2706. Our full-time program runs over a nine month period. The curriculum is an integration of courses from three areas including Allied Sciences, Massage Techniques, and Personal Growth. Required courses include Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition, Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Hydrotherapy Techniques, Introduction to Acupressure, Therapeutic Touch and extensive hands-on Clinical Practice. Tennessee School of Massage has an externship program in partnership with Living Health Day Spa – named Memphis’ #1 Day Spa by USA Today in 2017. The externship experience prepares students to go out into the real world by providing graduates with a behind the scenes look at how a real massage business works. The educational experience is further enhanced by health forums, visiting lecturers and practitioners, and volunteer projects at athletic events. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates receive a diploma and may apply to the Tennessee Massage Licensing Board for their state license or the respective boards of Arkansas, Mississippi or various other states. Students come to Tennessee School of Massage from every part of the United States to become licensed massage therapists in health spas, chiropractic offices, cruise ships, physical therapy clinics, hospitals, retirement communities, athletic clubs, beauty salons, or their own private practice.
