The art of winemaking. The Moretti Cuseri family writes the beginning of its wine history between Florence and Arezzo, in the heart of Valdarno. Historians such as Tito Livio, Plinio il Vecchio, saints such as St. Francis, men of art and letters such as Cimabue, Giotto, Brunelleschi, Michelangelo, Dante Alighieri, Petrarca, Machiavelli and Leonardo Da Vinci have painted and described its landscapes and traversed it over the centuries. A passion for viticulture and a deep respect for sustainability were values that immediately contributed to the production of wines of great character and elegance. Tenuta Sette Ponti, an evocative name inspired by the Seven Bridges over the Arno River located along the road from Florence to Arezzo. The best known of them, the Buriano Bridge built between 1240 and 1277, can be glimpsed in the background of two masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci: the Mona Lisa and the Madonna dei Fusi. The location, geographical orientation, winds and breezes that flow through the estate, combined with careful agronomic care between the rows with the help of expert farmers and agronomists, lead to the production of the highest quality grapes, which are essential for making great wines. Precisely the utmost attention to the land and plantings, respect for nature and its rhythms, and love for the vineyard are the basis of wines recognized and appreciated by domestic and foreign critics. Time is measured not only in years, but also in harvests: we cultivate the vine in the name of man, to make it express its highest virtues. One must not mind time to produce great wines that have balance, elegance, precision, depth, identity, territoriality. It is a complex undertaking, as if it were always a work of art, and involves a coincidence of circumstances: special conditions of climate and soil, precise and meticulous daily work in the vineyard and cellar, and finally a healthy dose of dedication.
