That’s how the Terra di Siena USA was born. Why Virginia? Much like Tuscany, Virginia is a region that values quality, natural products, and respect for tradition. With a similar microclimate and landscape, it provides the ideal conditions to craft our cured meats using time-honored methods and organic ingredients. Our story dates back to the late 19th century when Lorenzo Nidiaci, the personal butcher of the Italian Royal Family, became renowned across central Italy. Today, his great-grandson, Filippo Gambassi, carries on this legacy in the United States. By establishing a USDA-compliant production facility in Virginia, we stay true to our roots—using simple, organic ingredients and slow, natural aging to deliver an authentic taste of Italy.
