About Terra - The Magic Place

From childhood on we had a dream and we still live it: a special place for food lovers in the middle of nowhere. Our history starts 80 years ago. Yes, we are a little bit crazy. Our grandfather built the ski hut at this magic place with no skiing area in the neighborhood. But the amazing nature and our grandmas fantastic cuisine let forget about skiing. In the seventies our parents built the Auener Hof just in front of the ski hut. And again our mothers cuisine was famous. By the way, her dream was to sell one day her South Tyrolean dumplings on the Golden Gate Bridge. Here we are, we are the third generation. We two siblings Gisela (Sommelière) and Heinrich Schneider (chef) run the place since 1998. Through the years with a lot of passion and - of course - a lot of work we created and refurbished the Auener Hof with the Restaurant Terra, a TWO MICHELIN STARRED RESTAURANT with only 10 rooms. In 2014 the Auener Hof - Restaurant Terra became member of RELAIS & CHÂTEAUX.
