About Terrace & District Community Services Society (TDCSS)
Terrace & District Community Services Society (TDCSS) is a non-profit organization that provides services to groups, children, families and individuals who are in need of support, counselling and/or skills training. TDCSS’s mission is to enhance the well-being of all citizens living in the Northwest of BC. This mission embraces a holistic understanding of well-being, including diverse needs and interests such as safety and security, physical, intellectual, emotional, social and economic. We provide a range of activities from community development to service delivery. Four Service Departments Community Living Services - offers programs and resources for adults living with developmental disabilities, their friends and family, and community members believing communities are stronger when people of all abilities are involved in activities that are meaningful to them. Youth and Family Services - delivers a variety of group and individual mentoring and support services for children, youth and their families. Counselling and Support Services - provides a range of confidential counselling and support services for individuals experiencing crisis, mental illness, addictions, and/or displacement. Employment Services - creates and implements a variety of employment-related training, assisting individuals to overcome their employment barriers in a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
