TerrAffix, part of the RSK Group, pushes the boundaries of what is possible with natural, sustainable materials, combined with technical solutions, from source to sink. We provide circular economy nature-based solutions (NBS) for the restoration and re-creation of biodiverse habitats throughout the UK. We specialise in the restoration and re-creation of native grassland habitats, the management of invasive non-native species, pyrolysis (carbonisation) of virgin biomasses and waste materials to refractory forms of carbon (biochar) and the use of hydroseeding as a tool to deploy our revegetation solutions. As a company we minimise our impact in the creation of our products and maximise their benefits within the wider environment. Our bespoke products, based upon comprehensive R&D, are designed and rigorously tested to meet the needs of the soil, water, civils and land remediation sectors. By implementing a life-cycle approach our tailored NBS take into consideration soil functioning, type and nutrient status; habitat type; material processing, handling, characterisation and deployment; carbon-balance; regulatory compliance; and the long-term management objectives. TerrAffix is deploying solutions and products to expedite our clients’ journey to Net Zero and Beyond. Our Team have been providing innovative approaches to NBS over a period of 20 years including the assessment, removal and processing of scrub, rhododendron, invasive non-native species and woodland management arisings. Deploying the UK’s 1st continuous pyrolysis system, our Team has over 15-years’ experience in pyrolysis innovation and is delivering against the UK Government’s aspirations for Greenhouse Gas (GHG) removal by maximising resource circularity, destroying pollutants, sequestering carbon, recovering nutrients and diverting material away from conventional disposal methods, incineration and landfill.
