TerraSpark is Europe’s answer to Space-Based Solar Power (SBSP). Our mission: deliver clean, resilient energy from orbit—initially sending power where today’s grids can’t: remote industries, island nations, disaster zones, and eventually, global energy coverage. Unlike traditional SBSP moonshots aiming for city and nation-scale power with solar farms in high Earth orbits, TerraSpark makes SBSP commercially viable already in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) then scales up and goes further out from there. By starting smaller, proving customers and economics early, and scaling step by step, we make SBSP investible and inevitable. We are a team of proven entrepreneurs and world-class engineers: Jasper Deprez – bootstrapped Tradler into a global HR platform. Sanjay Vijendran – built hardware that landed on Mars and ran technological R&D programmes at the European Space Agency for more than a decade. Matthias Laug – co-founded Tier Mobility and served as CTO for JustEatTakeAway. Backed by senior talent from Airbus, a former ESA director, the ex-CTO of TomTom, and the founder of sustainable energy leader HolaLuz, TerraSpark combines startup velocity, energy expertise, and deep aerospace credibility.
