About Texas Association of Business Brokers Dallas / Ft. Worth Chapter
About Us Formed in 1979, TABB is the oldest business-brokerage trade association in the country. Its Members are business brokers, and its Affiliate Members are individuals and companies that provide services to sellers, buyers or brokers -- such as bankers, accountants, attorneys, financial planners, tax advisors, exit planners, insurance agents and other professionals supporting business transfers. TABB is owned and operated by its membership, and governed by a Board of Directors elected by the membership. The Association has chapters in Austin, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, and San Antonio, under the banner of the statewide organization (with administrative headquarters in Irving) with its own slate of elected officers. See www.tabb.org for more information. The Association has developed an extensive proprietary library of model contracts and other relevant documents, accessible to the membership. It has also created a broker-education program, and awards the “Board Certified Broker” professional designation to individuals who successfully complete its requirements. TABB conducts periodic conventions and educational conferences. At many of these statewide events (which are routinely attended by Affiliate Members and private equity groups), Affiliate Members exhibit the latest in products and services available to business brokers. Support the advancement of the business-brokerage profession, serving buyers and sellers of businesses and keeping the Texas economy humming, by joining TABB today!
