About Texas Association of Local Health Officials
TALHO is a non-profit organization created to further our members' common goals, such as promoting health, preventing disease and protecting the environment. We work in various ways to ensure the public health of the state of Texas through leadership, vision and advocacy. We are committed to the principles of public health practice in local communities and throughout the great state of Texas. TALHO also provides technical support services, including administration of the Texas Health Alert Network, videoconferencing services, a video-on-demand content distribution network, email services and VPN, network and systems design and management, as well as general PC hardware and software support. We are a one-stop IT design, implementation and support shop for our contracted public health members. We are proud to advance public health through technical leadership.
