About Texas Music Partners

Texas Music Partners is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is: Using music as a foundation, Texas Music Partners helps children find their lifelong creative passion while empowering young thinkers to take innovative approaches to problem-solving and gain confidence in themselves as they grow into adulthood. We do this by promoting music: on its own, through other arts, and through academics. Our goal is to show students how to think positively and learn from life’s challenges. This will allow our students to gain experience and succeed as they get older. Learning from these experiences will continue to help. We use a multi-pronged approach to incorporate music and creativity in the classroom setting. PROGRAMS WE OFFER We offer different courses by grade level to ensure we are meeting students where they are in their self-developmental journey. Live Music in the Schools Program Direct (Music-based) The Live Music in the Schools program includes: 1. Workshops to teach students about a particular type of music, artist, or theme 2. A live performance with professional musicians, to: a. Show how musicians work as a team b. Encourage students to participate in band, orchestra, or choir STEAM Program Indirect (Music-based) We use music as a foundation, integrated with traditional STEM subjects, to apply the STEAM methodology (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). This is to: -Teach academic subjects (like English and Social Studies) in the context of music and art -Enhance existing STEM curriculum, giving students a new perspective -Encourage passions and careers in interdisciplinary STEAM fields THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX We teach students the importance of handling challenges and building resilience in learning.
