About Teyuna Foundation

Supporting the People who Support the Planet. The Teyuna Foundation’s mission is to grow a global community of Earth Stewards: individuals, organizations and networks focused on the ecological protection under the guidance of the Teyuna. The Teyuna are the Arhuaco, Kankuamo, Kogi and Wiwa people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta region of Colombia. Their sole reason for existence is to be of service to Earth by performing pagamento, literally payment to Earth Mother for supporting and sustaining all of creation. The Teyuna Foundation is the only group in North America working exclusively with Teyuna mamos and zagas, holy men and women, sanctioned by the CTC, Concejo Territorial de Cabildos or Coucil of the Cabildos, the highest authority in the Sierra, to perform sacred service for planetary healing and share their teachings with the outside world. The Teyuna Foundation is the North American constituent of Gunnekun, a solely Teyuna run non-profit in Colombia. The Teyunas' teachings are simple. They remind us of our connection to Mother Nature and give us a balanced holistic foundation for existence. Their teachings seed in us profound respect for and connection to Earth. We return to Se, the original law of universal harmony with all that is.
