About Thames Valley Studio
Thames Valley Studio has been a creative home for filmmakers, broadcasters, and content creators for over 20 years. Previously named Fleetwood TV and Film Studio, housed in a beautifully converted barn at Butlers Lands Farm near Reading, the studio was originally founded by veteran cameraman Keith Hicks, who built the space as a hub for creativity just off the M4. In 2013, Paul and Hellen Baird took the reins, ushering in a decade of growth with major upgrades; from soundproofing and lighting to streaming capabilities and a modernised client experience. As of April 1, 2025, Thames Valley Studio enters an exciting new chapter under the ownership of Lewis Spearing and Lloyd Cook. Lewis is a seasoned television director whose credits include Strictly Come Dancing, The Coronation of HM The King, a major new Apple TV+ series, and Love Island. Lloyd is a Director of Photography who has collaborated with leading brands such as Starbucks, Cadbury, JD Sports, Wagamama, LEGO, Chanel, Nike, and Microsoft. Together, Lewis and Lloyd bring a fresh vision to Thames Valley Studio. Whether you’re shooting a series, brand film, or livestream, we offer a versatile, fully equipped space where your ideas can come to life.
