About That Fish Place - That Pet Place
That Fish Place - That Pet Place, a 50 year-old family-owned and operated business whose core focus is to deliver the ultimate pet experience. We specialize in pets and aquatics. We work to create the kind of experience that creates a customer's confidence in the advice and products we deliver every day, to the family members they love. Over the years, our reputation as the finest pet supply store has become widely known, and people from all over the east coast shop at our 88,000 square foot retail store. That Fish Place began in 1973, as a small family owned aquarium store owned by Bernie and Sandy Lebowitz. The store was originally located where the Isaac’s restaurant is now. The goal of the business was to make aquarium supplies more affordable for fish hobbyists. Bernie and Sandy’s son, Scott, and daughter, Beth, purchased the business from their parents in the late 1990’s. During this time, other pet supply categories were added to the business and the company was rebranded as That Fish Place - That Pet Place. In 2015 the company was purchased by long-time employees Rick and Chrisi Amour with the goal of continuing to grow the business that the Lebowitz family had so successfully established.
