A proudly African food and beverage advertising agency launched in 2018 by Chief Creative Officer, Dale Herbst; That Food Guy is a creative reflection of Dale’s 12 year broadcast journey, 7 years in brand strategy and communications; and his love and passion for building cohesive brand journeys. With a full service offering including brand strategy, campaign management, digital marketing, influencers, PR and media, creative conceptualisation, publishing and design; That Food Guy’s team across it’s advertising, publishing and digital divisions are ready to best understand our clients needs and scope out a brief that is supportive, clear and effective. Already a force to be reckoned with in the food and beverage space, That Food Guy has worked with well-known brands such as Mc Cain, Johnny Walker Black, SMEG, Helios, Woolworths, Nespresso and Lay’s to name a few. In 2019 we headed up the food narrative for the DStv International Food and Music Festival, and in 2020 That Food Guy Advertising was appointed the role of Global Brand Director for the ever so successful eventing property. That Food Guy Publishing recently scooped two awards: Best Debut Cookbook and Best Indian Cookbook in the South Africa region, for ‘Naqiyah Mayat - The Beginning: Indian Recipes from My Home’, at the World Gourmand Cookbook Awards. Apart from the brand-focused aspect of the agency, That Food Guy: Advertising, Publishing and Digital is a proudly South African brand for industry news and insights. We aim to bring the continent's food community and consumers together. At the heart of That Food Guy, there is a real desire to help with issues of food security and malnutrition - we continue to find ways in which we can contribute and make an impact.
