The purpose of That Mortgage Woman is to champion social mobility through home ownership. Social mobility is rooted in 4 things: Access to Healthcare Quality Education A Secure Home A Permanent Job with Secure Terms & Conditions Everyone should be able to access healthcare, educate themselves to the level they want, have job security and know the security and comfort of owning your own home. These are basic things!! Everyone should be safe in the knowledge that their housing is secure. It's quite frankly abhorrent that in the 21st century it's still an issue, but due to a lack of robust regulation of the private rental market and access to social housing at an all time low, the only option left to achieve that security is owning your own home and that in itself is challenging. That Mortgage Woman aims to remove the barriers to home ownership by supporting people with finance education resources, sound long term financial planning and access to an affordable mortgage and protection advice and application service to enable them to achieve their home ownership goals. To make advice accessible and encourage trade union membership; we offer a 50% reduction in fees for all union members, and shared ownership clients. We also provide a flexible service with appointments available 7 days a week with evening appointments available. Clare, our founder benefitted from opportunities through education and government policy in the early 2000's, that enabled her to go from being a homeless teen mum, to graduate, teacher and now business founder. Clare has been privileged to have these opportunities available to her and has built a life she would have though unimaginable 25 years ago. Her mission is for others to have those same opportunities.
