About Thawrih
Our mission is to create UNITY through fitness and to form an ideal society where everyone is comfortable in their own skin, and proud of their beliefs and backgrounds. Thawrih is an athletic wear company that specializes in modest wear and specialty headgear, ie. Sports Hijabs and Sports Turbans. The athletic wear market provides minimal to no options for those who would like to pursue sports and workouts that have either religious restrictions or are self-conscious towards their body. Thawrih aims to help those marginalized by major brands by catering to their needs of religious headgear or modest apparel. We support the local economy by providing employment opportunities to Syrian Newcomers. This initiative enables newcomer women to enter the labour force, provide for their families, and also aids with the integration process of newcomer families into Ottawa society.
